أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ ، يَقُولُ :" لَيْسَ هَدِيَّةٌ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ كَلِمَةِ حِكْمَةٍ، تُهْدِيهَا لِأَخِيكَ "

Abdullah bin Yazid told us, Haywa told us, Shurahbil bin Sharik told us, that he heard Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubli, saying “There is no better gift than a word of wisdom that you give to your brother.”
