أَخْبَرَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ  ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ  ، عَنْ الْأَحْوَصِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ  ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ  ، قَالَ : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الشَّرِّ، فَقَالَ :" لَا تَسْأَلُونِي عَنْ الشَّرِّ، وَاسْأَلُونِي عَنْ الْخَيْرِ، يَقُولُهَا ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " أَلَا إِنَّ شَرَّ الشَّرِّ شِرَارُ الْعُلَمَاءِ، وَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الْخَيْرِ خِيَارُ الْعُلَمَاءِ "
Nu`aym ibn Hammad told us, Baqiyya told us, on the authority of Al-Ahwas ibn Hakim, on the authority of his father, he said: A man asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. About evil, so he said: “Do not ask me about evil, but ask me about good.” He said it three times, then he said: “Indeed, the worst of evil are the worst of scholars, and the best of good is “The choice of scholars”
