أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ ، يَقُولُ :" مَا ازْدَادَ عَبْدٌ عِلْمًا، فَازْدَادَ فِي الدُّنْيَا رَغْبَةً، إِلَّا ازْدَادَ مِنْ اللَّهِ بُعْدًا "

Bishr ibn al-Hakam informed us, saying: I heard Sufyan saying: “When a servant increases in knowledge, he increases in his desire for this world, except that he increases in “God is far away”
