أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، قَالَ :" كَانُوا لَا يَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ الْإِسْنَادِ، ثُمَّ سَأَلُوا بَعْدُ لِيَعْرِفُوا مَنْ كَانَ صَاحِبَ سُنَّةٍ أَخَذُوا عَنْهُ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ صَاحِبَ سُنَّةٍ، لَمْ يَأْخُذُوا عَنْهُ "، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : مَا أَظُنُّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ
