Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #3180

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ :" كَانُوا إِذَا أَتَوْا الرَّجُلَ لِيَأْخُذُوا عَنْهُ، نَظَرُوا إِلَى صَلَاتِهِ، وَإِلَى سَمْتِهِ، وَإِلَى هَيْئَتِهِ "
Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, on the authority of Hushaym, on the authority of Mugheerah, on the authority of Ibrahim, who said: “When they came to a man to take possession of him, They looked at his prayers, his character, and his appearance.”
