أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ :" مَا كَتَبْتُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ إِلَّا حَدِيثَ الْأَعْمَاقِ، فَلَمَّا حَفِظْتُهُ، مَحَوْتُهُ "

Saeed bin Amer told us, on the authority of Hisham, he said: “I did not write on the authority of Muhammad except the hadith of the depths, so when I memorized it, I erased it.”
