أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لَهُ حِينَ مَاتَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : لَوْ قَعَدْتَ فَعَلَّمْتَ النَّاسَ السُّنَّةَ؟، فَقَالَ :" أَتُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُوطَأَ عَقِبِي؟ "

Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Yunus told us, Abu Shihab told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Alqamah, he said: He was told when Abdullah, may God be pleased with him, died.
