حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَبَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَضْرِبُ شَعَرُهُ مَنْكِبَيْهِ‏.‏

Narrated Anas :

The hair of the Prophet (ﷺ) used to hang down up to his shoulders.

Narrated Anas:

The head-hair of the Prophet (ﷺ) used to hang down to his shoulders.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ضَخْمَ الْيَدَيْنِ، لَمْ أَرَ بَعْدَهُ مِثْلَهُ، وَكَانَ شَعَرُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجِلاً، لاَ جَعْدَ، وَلاَ سَبِطَ‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) had big hands, and I have never seen anybody like him after him. The hair of the Prophet was wavy, neither curly nor straight.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ضَخْمَ الْيَدَيْنِ وَالْقَدَمَيْنِ حَسَنَ الْوَجْهِ، لَمْ أَرَ بَعْدَهُ وَلاَ قَبْلَهُ مِثْلَهُ، وَكَانَ بَسِطَ الْكَفَّيْنِ‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) had big hands and feet, and I have not seen anybody like him, neither before nor after him, and his palms were soft.

وَقَالَ هِشَامٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَثْنَ الْقَدَمَيْنِ وَالْكَفَّيْنِ‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) had big feet and hands.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ صَنَعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَاتَمًا قَالَ ‏ “‏ إِنَّا اتَّخَذْنَا خَاتَمًا، وَنَقَشْنَا فِيهِ نَقْشًا، فَلاَ يَنْقُشْ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ ‏”‏‏.‏ قَالَ فَإِنِّي لأَرَى بَرِيقَهُ فِي خِنْصَرِهِ‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) got a ring made for himself and said, “I have got a ring made (for myself) and engraved a certain engraving on it so none of you should get such an engraving on his ring.” I saw the glitter of the ring on his little finger.

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ لَمَّا اسْتُخْلِفَ كَتَبَ لَهُ، وَكَانَ نَقْشُ الْخَاتَمِ ثَلاَثَةَ أَسْطُرٍ‏.‏ مُحَمَّدٌ سَطْرٌ، وَرَسُولُ سَطْرٌ، وَاللَّهِ سَطْرٌ‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

that when Abu Bakr became the Caliph, he wrote a letter to him (and stamped it with the Prophet’s ring) and the engraving of the ring was in three lines: Muhammad in one line, ‘Apostle’ in another line, and ‘Allah’ in a third line.

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ نَعْلَ، النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ لَهَا قِبَالاَنِ‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The sandal of the Prophet (ﷺ) had two straps.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدًا، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ خَاتَمُهُ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَكَانَ فَصُّهُ مِنْهُ‏.‏ وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ سَمِعَ أَنَسًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The ring of the Prophet (ﷺ) was of silver, and its stone was of silver too.

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِلزُّبَيْرِ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ لِحِكَّةٍ بِهِمَا‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) allowed Az-Zubair and `Abdur-Rahman to wear silk because they were suffering from an itch.
