Editorial principles

• Identify the collection and reference information available for each narration.
• Keep Arabic source text separate from translation and commentary.
• Avoid presenting automated summaries as religious rulings.
• Correct verified transcription, markup and attribution errors.
• Disclose uncertainty when editions or numbering systems differ.

What we do not do

We do not issue fatwas, determine personal religious obligations or replace the work of qualified hadith scholars. We do not alter source wording to make a narration support a preferred conclusion.

Corrections policy

Specific correction reports are reviewed against the cited collection or another reliable edition. Cosmetic and markup errors may be corrected immediately. Substantive disputes involving translation, attribution or authenticity require adequate supporting references.

Conflicts and commercial influence

Advertising and technical service providers do not determine which narrations are listed or how source text is presented. Commercial considerations must not be inserted into quoted religious material.
